I wrote my first lines of code in 2017, drawn to programming as a craft I could grow with and never fully master. I'm driven to build software that genuinely helps the people who use it.
Rust is my favorite language and my first choice for tools and services. For web products I work in TypeScript, building with Next.js or TanStack. I also write Python when a project calls for it. For static web sites, Astro is my current framework of choice.
Outside of software, I am a happily married father of three teenage children.
We have a beautiful golden retriever at home, and I spend as much free time as possible outdoors, especially hiking and trail running.
Skills
I work across the stack: Next.js, Astro, and TanStack on the frontend, with Node, Rust, and Python on the backend and in systems work.
Lately I've been exploring Turso, the embedded SQLite platform, and adopting Panda CSS, a design token system for styling.
I also spend a lot of time with agentic coding tools like Claude Code, Amp, and Delta, learning the new craft of steering AI agents to build software.
